Everything is connected is the theme of the Department. Through Environmental Protection Agency funding staff are able to provide services, educational outreach and activities and special projects.

For example, staff - perform routine testing and tracking of ground and surface water for contaminants that may impact drinking water as well as the overall health of the
Rancheria’s ecosystem and the greater San Joaquin River Watershed; provide solid waste management services and special projects including recycling; and provide outreach and education through events such as Earth Day and environmental education activities for the after-school and summer youth programs.
